Subjective Map of Wawer was designed as a result of National Institute of Heritage’s participation in the project “Wizja Lokalna”. It is a set of maps ready to be taken for a walk to green Wawer district in Warsaw. You will find a lot of information about its history. The district was divided into a few areas which are presented on separate maps.
The aim of this project was to create a map of city zones based on the citizens’ experience. During many meetings with local people we have learned a lot of stories and memories connecting them with their neighborhood. The final phase of the project “Wizja lokalna” was to put all the stories together and design the guide booklet set “Subjective map of Wawer”.
