Exhibition “Mariusz Wilczyński. Kill it…” at the Zachęta National Gallery of Art.
The main narrative of the exhibition was to present the story of the animated film Kill It and Leave This Town, created and directed by Mariusz Wilczyński.
The initial idea of the project was to create a mood that corresponds to the experience of watching the film. Multimedia were employed in diverse ways, constructing an atmosphere of mystery, melancholy, and longing. The exhibition showcased excerpts from the animatic – the working version of the film that had not been previously published for a wider audience. In addition, original drawings for the animation created by the artist were displayed, along with a portion of an extensive archive of scripts and dialogue transcripts from the film.
Lotne Studio has created exhibition design and visual identity.
Additionally we have overseen the scenography’s set up, production and instalation.
The exhibition had its premiere at the Zachęta National Gallery of Art. Later on it was redesigned and shown at the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź, as well as at BWA Tarnów.
